Clobetasol, Neomycin, Miconazole, and Chlorocresol Cream – This  cream comes with a brand name, Dermisviss NM and is a combination of three drugs- Clobetasol Propionate, Neomycin Sulphate, and Miconazole Nitrate. Dermisviss NM helps to treat skin infections caused by bacteria or fungi, itching, redness or swelling.

Clobetasol Propionate is a steroid medicine. It prevents the production of certain chemical messengers, namely prostaglandins, that make the skin red, inflamed, and itchy. Neomycin Sulphate is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by blocking the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Miconazole Nitrate is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by stopping them from forming their own protective covering.

Composition:
Each gram of cream contains:

• Clobetasol Propionate IP 0.05% w/w

• Neomycin Sulphate IP 0.50% w/w

• Miconazole Nitrate IP 2.0% w/w

• Chlorocresol IP 0.1% w/w (as preservative)

Clobetasol+Neomycin+Miconazole is used to treat bacterial skin infections and fungal skin infections. The detailed uses of Dermisviss are as follows-

Treatment of Fungal Infections – Dermisviss is commonly used to treat a range of fungal infections, including athlete’s foot, ringworm, and jock itch, by inhibiting fungal growth.

Relief from Itching and Inflammation – Clobetasol+neomycin+miconazole offers relief from itching and inflammation associated with conditions like eczema and dermatitis. The corticosteroid ingredient helps reduce swelling and soothes the affected areas.

Drug Warnings

• Avoid using Clobetasol, Neomycin, Miconazole, and Chlorocresol Cream  if you are allergic to it or to the components present in it.
• It is advised not to use clobetasol+neomycin+miconazole on larger areas of the skin.
• Use it for a longer time only when prescribed by a doctor.
• It would be best if you do not cover the treated area with bandage or plaster, specifically the face, without consulting a doctor.
• Be careful not to use the medicine in and around your eyes. In case the medicine goes into your eyes, mouth, nose, or genitals, rinse thoroughly with water.
• In case you observe a prolonged skin irritation or worsening of the skin disease, stop using the clobetasol+neomycin+miconazole cream and immediately inform your doctor.
• Do not use if there is a sore or an infection present in the area to be treated.
