Working of Trypsin, Bromelain & Rutoside Tablets
The medicine is a combination of Bromelain, Trypsin, and Rutoside. Trypsin is produced in the pancreas in the form of inactive zymogen trypsinogen. When the pancreas is stimulated by cholecystokinin, it is then secreted into the duodenum via the pancreatic duct. Once in the duodenum, the enzyme enteropeptidase activates it trypsin by proteolytic cleavage. Trypsin in the duodenum catalyses the hydrolysis of the peptide bonds so that protein can be broken into smaller peptide bonds.
Bromelain is used as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent in treating the symptoms of arthritis. The anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects are caused due to the inhibition of arachidonic acid pathway of inflammation by selectively decreasing thromboxane generation, changing the ratio of thromboxane/prostacyclin.
Rutoside is a natural flavone derivative. It has an anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy, and immunomodulating activity. Rutoside inhibits platelet aggregation, as well as decreasing capillary permeability, making blood thinner and improving circulation. Rutin also strengthens the capillaries. It helps to prevent the venous edema of the legs.

Drug Warnings
If you are allergic to Trypsin+bromelain+rutoside or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
People allergic to pineapple, carrot, papain, fennel, and pollen should avoid the intake of Trypsin+bromelain+rutoside.
It is not recommended for pregnant women as it contains Bromelain, which may cause miscarriage, so if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, let your doctor know about this.
If you are about to undergo any surgery, inform your doctor that you are taking Trypsin+bromelain+rutoside.
It should be stopped a minimum of 2 weeks before surgery, as Trypsin+bromelain+rutoside may increase the risk of bleeding during and after surgery.
If you have blood pressure problems, clotting or bleeding problems, infection, hematuria (blood in urine), hematemesis (vomiting blood), kidney or liver disorders, inform your doctor before taking Trypsin+bromelain+rutoside.
