Working of Dermasviss CT
Ciprofloxacin, Metronidazole, Terbinafine & Clobetasol Cream is a combination of 4 drugs – Ciproflaxacin, Metronidazole, Terbinafine Hydrochloride, and Clobetasol Propionate, which is unique mix of antibiotic, corticosteroid, and antifungal.
Ciproflaxacin, an antibiotic, prevents the growth of bacteria by inhibiting the enzymes that allow them to multiply. This leads to the eventual death of bacterial cells.
Metronidazole is another bacteria in this combination that combats bacteria and certain parasites by damaging their DNA, leading to their death.
Terbinafine Hydrochloride, an anti-fungal component, helps in stopping fungi from growing by interfering with their cell membranes. This weakens fungal cell walls, causing them to rupture and die.
Clobetasol Propionate, as a corticosteroid, reduces inflammation by suppressing the immune response that triggers it. This helps in reducing swelling and redness on your skin.
Ciprofloxacin, Metronidazole, Terbinafine & Clobetasol Cream Uses
The primary usage is for the management of mixed skin infections, which involve bacteria, fungi, and inflammation. It belongs to a combination class of antibiotics, antifungals, and corticosteroids.
Secondary uses includes the management of skin and soft tissue infections with bacterial and fungal components, inflamed or infected dermatoses such as atopic dermatitis or psoriasis where a steroid is needed. Infection of hair follicles or sweat glands, inflamed and infected eczematous skin lesions, intertrigo with bacterial or fungal infection, and certain nail infections involving dermatophyte fungi and bacteria.
